Marine Biologist

At VARU by Atmosphere, North Malé Atoll, Maldives

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Marine Biologist to join our team and contribute to advancing marine science and conservation. The ideal candidate will conduct field research, analyze ecological and biological data, and develop strategies for marine conservation. They will also collaborate with other scientists, government agencies, and environmental organizations to implement conservation plans and restoration projects.

Candidate must have strong experience in marine ecosystem analysis and be able to develop and implement conservation plans and restoration projects, prepare scientific reports, publications, and presentations, stay current with advancements in marine biology and conservation techniques, and conduct field research, including sampling, data collection, and monitoring of marine environments.

Core Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marine biology, Oceanography, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marine research and conservation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Scuba diving certification and experience (preferred).

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Analyze marine ecosystems to assess their health and identify areas needing conservation.
  • Develop and implement conservation plans and restoration projects.
