DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced architecting, optimizing, implementing, configuring, managing, administering, troubleshooting, maintaining, and monitoring of the bank's server, storage, and virtual machine (VM) infrastructure
- Administer databases for Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL, including installation, configuration, backup, and recovery
- Manage NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra to handle unstructured data
- Tune database performance, optimize queries, and troubleshoot issues
- Design and implement data models and database architectures to meet business requirements
- Provide necessary support to the Systems Administrator in executing assigned tasks
- Maintain and update documentation related to systems as needed
Candidate Prerequisites:
- A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Certifications in database management systems (such as Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator, or MySQL Database Administrator) are highly advantageous
- Certifications in Windows server management, Active Directory administration and implementation, Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare, storage-level technologies, or backup and replication tool certifications are beneficial
- A minimum of 05 years of experience in Database Administration across multiple platforms (including Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL) is required, with demonstrated expertise in database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high availability setups
- Experience in managing NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB or Cassandra) is a significant plus
- Knowledge of database security practices, including encryption, access control, and auditing, is essential
- Familiarity with database automation tools and scripting languages (such as SQL, PL/SQL, Python, or Bash) and database replication, clustering, and high availability solutions is needed
- Should be a strong team player with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
