Position: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Madurankuliya, Sri Lanka

Ocean Foods Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd is a leading canned fish processing and export company in Sri Lanka. We are committed to providing safe, high-quality, and sustainable food products to local and international markets. To support our growing operations, we are looking for a skilled and experienced person to lead our Quality Assurance department.

Job Role: Quality Assurance Manager

As the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest quality and safety standards. You will lead the quality team and help the company meet local and international regulations and certifications.

Key Duties:

• Quality Management:

  Maintain and improve our Quality Management System (QMS) based on FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 standards. Lead internal quality audits and work to improve processes.

• Food Safety:

  Make sure food safety procedures are followed. Oversee HACCP and PRP systems. Handle customer complaints and take corrective actions.

• Supplier Monitoring:

  Approve and audit suppliers. Check supplier quality and ensure they meet our standards.

• Team Leadership:

  Guide and train the quality team. Build a strong quality culture across the company.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  Ensure we follow all local and international food safety rules and certification requirements.

• Records & Reporting:

  Keep accurate quality records and share reports as needed.

Who We Are Looking For:

• A degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance in the food industry
• Good knowledge of ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, and GMP standards
• Having a knowledge on the application of FSSC 22000 is an added advantage
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience in facing regulatory audits and handling certifications
