Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Chief Accountant to manage the overall financial operations in Mongolia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, ensuring compliance with local financial regulations, and providing financial leadership to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
Setting up the accounting team, procedures and processes for accounting work for new established company
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with local accounting standards and company policies.
• Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into the financial performance and strategy of the company.
2. Provide training and development for accounting staff, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth.
3. Tax and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local tax laws, including VAT, corporate income tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring all financial documentation is prepared accurately and on time.
5. Monitor actual performance against budget, identify variances, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
6. Internal Controls and Process Improvement:
Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Implement best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
8. Ensure that financial strategies align with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of local accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
