As part of our strategy to grow into new market segments and strive for excellence we are on the lookout for a dynamic and energetic applicant for the following position in one of our Manufacturing Subsidiary for immediate employment.

MANAGER - HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMINISTRATION

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement overall HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing concerns, grievances, or any other issues
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage the performance appraisal system and drive the organization for a high-performance culture
  • Maintain pay plans and benefits program
  • Assess training needs, formulate annual plan, implement, and monitor effectiveness of training
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout all HR systems and processes
  • Liaise and coordinate with EFC, Labour Dept, and other statutory bodies

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized professional body
  • Proven working experience of about 7 to 10 years as an HR Manager preferably with exposure to a manufacturing environment
  • Should be people oriented but results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
  • Should be familiar with HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategies along with leadership skills for implementation
  • Should possess excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Prior working experience in a unionized environment is preferred

The selected applicant will be based at our factory in Sapugakanda and needs to visit Head Office at Colombo as and when required.
