Job Vacancy: Head of Sports
Telford International School – Galle, a leading Pearson International School and Edexcel Approved Centre in the Southern Province, invites applications from dynamic and experienced individuals for the post of Head of Sports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and implement the school’s sports programs across all age groups.
- Organize inter-house and inter-school tournaments, practices, and sports days.
- Promote a positive sports culture and encourage student participation.
- Coordinate with coaches and PE teachers to ensure a balanced and inclusive sports program.
- Monitor and mentor students participating in sports to achieve their highest potential.
- Maintain equipment and sports facilities effectively.
- Ensure all activities comply with school policies and health & safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- A degree or relevant qualification in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.
- A related postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing school sports programs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coach at least one sport at a competitive level.
- Commitment to holistic student development and teamwork.
