Procurement Manager
Location: Wattala, Sri Lanka
Industry: FMCG / Export
We’re seeking a meticulous, high-integrity Procurement professional who thrives under pressure and is ready to lead a fast-paced, commercially driven function.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the Procurement team to meet business and operational objectives
- Ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing of raw materials aligned to production schedules
- Develop and manage a strong supplier base locally and internationally
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and credit facilities to optimise value
- Provide prices for pre-costing and budgeting purposes
- Research and introduce new materials or technologies to reduce production costs
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Track and deliver on key procurement KPIs
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role at Assistant Manager level or above, ideally in an export or FMCG company
- A bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage
- Meticulous and organised, with a high degree of integrity
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of import regulations and documentation
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Able to work under pressure and respond to international clients across time zones
- Should be able to conveniently commute to our head office located in Wattala
