EXECUTIVE ENGINEERING STORES
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Executive Engineering Stores. The position exists for effective management of Engineering spare part stocks within statutory and organizational guidelines with the objective of ensuring availability of required stocks at the required time, in the required quantity and quality.
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Monitor consumptions and generate purchase requisitions.
- Issue & receive items as per purchase order while ensuring quality and matching specifications.
- Coordinate with Procurement Department to meet delivery timelines; coordinate with engineers whilst ordering exceptional items in order to ensure that stocks are available in a timely manner and in the required quality levels.
- Monitoring 5S in stores; Ensuring that a systematic method is used for storing of goods.
- Ensuring hygienic conditions are maintained in stores.
- Liaising with the quality dept to ensure that products which are received comply with quality standards in order to store maintenance.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Degree in material management/inventory control or equivalent with 1-2 years' experience in similar capacity in a FMCG store handling environment.
- Trade Practices in a factory environment.
- Stores Management, quality identification, specifications of engineering processes, spare part management.
- Understanding and requirement fulfillment of Quality Management systems, Food safety management system, Occupational Health and Safety management system, Environmental Safety Management System, Energy Management System, Good Manufacturing Process and PRP, CCP, OPRP.
- Interpersonal skills, motivational skills, decision making skills, ability to work long hours, communication skills.
