WHARF EXECUTIVE
We are looking for a dynamic, qualified, experienced and result oriented professional to join our dynamic team for the post of Wharf Executive for immediate engagement.
JOB PROFILE
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all necessary customs documentation for smooth clearance of goods
- Classify goods with correct tariff codes to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize duty payments
- Secure cost effective transportation rates through negotiation with shipping lines and logistic providers
- Arrange marine insurance for import shipments
- Identify potential logistics risks and implement strategies to mitigate them
- Stay updated on customs regulations and trade policies to minimize risks
- Maintain accurate records for compliance
- Prepare and manage all necessary imports documents such as imports loan, letter of credit telegraphic transfer and exchange control documents
- Follow up with clearing agents for import shipment clearing matters
- Obtaining imports controller approval / Precursor control approval/excise permits/EPL licence
- Liaising with customs to obtain necessary approvals
- Follow up with suppliers for import shipments on the orders
- Handling the container deposits
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- G.C.E (A/L) in Commerce stream
- Minimum of 03-04 years of experience in imports clearing, logistics, or supply chain management
- Should have a Diploma or relevant job experience from a reputed institution in Logistic Management or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of customs regulations and tariff classifications
- Possess good knowledge in MS Excel and other software in office package
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Age between 25 to 45 years old
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Valid riding licence is required
