Business Analyst – HR Systems & Gulf Payroll Implementation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for the implementation of HR and payroll systems.
  • Translate complex HR and payroll needs into clear and actionable functional specifications, including process flows, use cases, user stories, and data models.
  • Lead requirement gathering sessions and workshops focused on HR modules such as Employee Information Management, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Leave Management, and Benefits Administration.
  • Ensure that payroll requirements specific to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (e.g., UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, etc.) are accurately captured, documented, and translated into system requirements.
  • Work closely with software developers, implementation consultants, QA teams, and project managers to ensure accurate configuration and delivery of HR and payroll functionalities.
  • Conduct gap analysis of existing HR/payroll processes and propose system-driven improvements aligned with local labor laws and statutory regulations in GCC countries.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), system validation, and deployment activities.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Provide post-go-live support and participate in project retrospectives to identify areas of improvement for future rollouts.
  • Stay current with HR technology trends, payroll compliance standards in the GCC, and emerging tools to support continuous process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resource Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record in HR and payroll system implementations.
  • Mandatory experience in the HR domain with hands-on involvement in payroll processes and calculations.
  • Experience with payroll procedures specific to the GCC region (e.g., WPS, gratuity calculations, end-of-service benefits, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with at least one enterprise HRMS (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Microsoft D365 HR, ADP, or similar) will be an added advantage.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Exposure to localization requirements and statutory reporting for GCC countries.
  • Experience working in an Agile or hybrid project delivery environment.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis practices including process mapping, requirements documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in multi-country and culturally diverse environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical conversations effectively.
