QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE EXECUTIVE

Sri Lanka's leading supplier and manufacturer of essential oils, oleoresins, natural food colours, flavours, seasonings, and fragrances. With a state-of-the-art FSSC 22000®, FDA-, Kosher- and Halal-certified processing facility in Matale, we source spices in raw form to create authentic, traceable, and sustainable natural ingredients. We cater to global and local food manufacturers—from biscuits, beverages and snacks to sauces—and support end-to-end flavour innovation.

As a Quality Assurance & Compliance Executive, you will create essential oil and oleoresin blends, test assay variables of oils and oleoresins using wet and dry chemistry and help maintain several quality standards during production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform wet and dry chemical analyses.
  • Ensure production processes are adhere to FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher and EU/USDA organic standards as needed.
  • Conduct physical inspections of spices and spice extracts to ensure quality standards are met before goods are dispatched.
  • Responsible for identification of nonconformities, handling complaints, corrective actions and preventive actions.
  • Formulate and create oleoresin and essential oil blends as per customer requirements.
  • Maintain and update documents, checklists and records.

Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in chemistry or science with a focus in chemistry.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in either wet or dry chemistry in a food-related industry.
  • Experience in maintaining FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher and USDA/EU Organic standards is an added advantage.
  • Experience in UV, HPLC, GC-FID and GC-HS testing is an added advantage.
  • Candidates who are willing to work in a 24-hour roster and living within driving distance to Matale will be given preference.
