Group Accountant / Financial Manager

As we actively consolidate our operations and expand our market presence, we are seeking a seasoned, high-caliber finance professional to head our group financial and management divisions.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The successful candidate will assume comprehensive responsibility for overseeing end-to-end Group Accounting Financials and proactively fulfilling all critical Management Reporting Requirements across our diverse automotive business units.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consolidate and systematically manage end-to-end Group Financial Accounts for all distinct business sectors (Imports, Retail/Wholesale Parts, Lubricants, and Workshop Services).
- Prepare timely, accurate management reports, key performance indicator (KPI) analyses, and variance reports to assist the Board of Directors in strategic decision-making.
- Oversee inventory costing, unit valuation, and supply chain financing structures tailored specifically to vehicle and spare parts importation procedures.
- Monitor group cash flow dynamics, optimize working capital cycles, and expertly manage foreign exchange exposure and import credit facilities (Letters of Credit).
- Ensure absolute, strict compliance with local taxation laws, customs protocols, and all relevant statutory corporate governance requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of progressive, post-qualification experience. Prior exposure to the automotive, import, retail, or inventory-heavy sectors will be considered a distinct advantage.
- Professional Qualifications: Must be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Sri Lanka).
- Additional Qualifications: Possession of secondary professional credentials such as CIMA, CIM, or a relevant Higher Post-Graduate Degree (MBA / Master’s in Finance) is highly desirable and will be heavily considered during the evaluation process.
- Technical & Soft Skills:
- Advanced proficiency across ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Tally) and expert-level capabilities in MS Excel.
- Robust understanding of import-related banking mechanisms, trade financing, and customs regulations.
- An exceptionally analytical mindset capable of translating complex transactional financial metrics into actionable strategic business insights.
