The Spice Trail Group is a collection of boutique hotels, cafés, and restaurants located in Arugam Bay, Ahangama, and Colombo. Our award-winning properties offer experiences that feel like home — only better.
We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee the growth of the hotel group. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, hospitality industry experience, and the ability to provide insights that drive profitability and operational efficiency.
General Manager
- Oversee multiple properties in the South and East Coast regions to maintain and upgrade quality standards while ensuring smooth operations.
- Lead, motivate, and develop hotel staff across all departments.
- Demonstrate a hands-on leadership style and lead by example.
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and cost control while maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction metrics.
- Drive occupancy, revenue growth, and profitability by developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies.
- Work alongside the Board of Directors to implement strategic and brand goals.
- Build strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and local partners.
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in hotel management or a similar leadership role.
- Be fully qualified with a degree in Hospitality Management or possess exceptional industry experience.
- Be willing to reside on-site as part of the role and travel between properties.
- Be proficient in software such as Google Workspace for email, reporting, and analysis, as well as property management systems, and be AI literate.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
