Vacancy for the position of Industrial Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Engineer to oversee Maintenance Operations at our manufacturing facility in Panadura. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing plant machinery, utility systems, and building maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted factory operations. The role also involves ensuring compliance with engineering, safety, and regulatory requirements, while driving preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Personal Profile
- B.Sc. Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university, NDT qualification, or equivalent
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in maintenance operations
- Injection moulding experience will be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of plant machinery, utilities, building maintenance, preventive maintenance practices, and safety/compliance requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated individual with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, continuous improvement, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job Profile
- Assist in managing day-to-day maintenance operations to ensure uninterrupted factory activities and optimal equipment availability.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure smooth and efficient factory operations.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including maintenance logs, equipment history cards, SOPs, and compliance records.
- Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of plant machinery, utilities, and production equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
- Monitor machine performance, downtime trends, and energy consumption to identify inefficiencies and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity enhancement, safety compliance, and operational cost optimization.
