QUANTITY SURVEYOR
INTERIOR FIT-OUT, JOINERY & CUSTOM FABRICATION
Idea Hub Trading – Maharagama
Idea Hub Trading is looking for a practical, detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with proven hands-on experience in interior fit-out, joinery, furniture manufacturing, or custom fabrication-related work.
This is a fast-paced, execution-driven role suited to someone who understands real project environments, materials, finishes, fabrication methods, and site coordination — not just paperwork and theory.
WHO THIS ROLE IS SUITED FOR
- Candidates with experience in interior fit-out projects
- Joinery and custom furniture manufacturing environments
- Fabrication-related BOQs and material costing
- Fast-moving project execution environments
- Candidates comfortable working closely with factory, production, site, and installation teams
THIS ROLE IS NOT SUITED FOR
- General civil construction QS backgrounds
- Road, infrastructure, or large-scale civil project experience only
- Candidates without practical fit-out or fabrication exposure
- Desk-only or purely theoretical quantity surveying backgrounds
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and material breakdowns
- Pricing interior fit-out, joinery, and custom fabrication work
- Material take-offs for cabinetry, finishes, and interior works
- Working closely with design, factory, production, and site teams
- Visiting sites when required to understand project scope and progress
- Monitoring project costs and supporting procurement and material planning
- Assisting with project coordination and execution-related costing
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in interior fit-out, joinery, furniture manufacturing, or related industries
- Strong understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and interior finishing
- Ability to read drawings and convert them into practical, accurate costing
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work fast and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
- Comfortable working across office, factory, and site environments
- Immediate availability or short notice period will be an advantage
