Accountant

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented professional to join our team as an Accountant. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in accounting and taxation, together with the ability to contribute effectively to financial management and compliance. He/She will be based at our corporate office in Hokandara.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements and reports accurately and in a timely manner
• Manage cash flow and treasury functions efficiently and effectively
• Budgeting and monitoring
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
• Implement effective accounting controls and ensure compliance with company policies
• Maintain and reconcile accurate financial records
• Analyze financial data to provide insights for decision-making
• Liaise with banks, statutory auditors, Department of Inland Revenue and other government organizations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial goals
• Provide necessary leadership to the finance department

Qualifications:

• Full / Part qualification of CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / CMA / ACCA
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar position. Priority will be given to individuals with experience working for an FMCG company
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
• Understanding of banking procedures, tax procedures and treasury management
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet work deadlines with minimum supervision
• Age below 40 years
