CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
LS.BET, the online betting platform operated by Leisure Sports, is on a mission to become Sri Lanka's most trusted digital betting experience.
As part of our rapid expansion, we are seeking a commercially driven and operationally strong Chief Operating Officer [COO] to lead the next phase of growth for our online business.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands digital consumer behaviour, and can drive operational excellence within a rapidly growing digital entertainment industry.
The COO will oversee the overall operations of LS.BET, ensuring operational efficiency, business growth, and an exceptional customer experience while working closely with ownership and senior management to scale the business sustainably and profitably.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the online business.
- Develop and execute operational and commercial strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Drive business growth, customer acquisition, retention and operational performance.
- Ensure smooth coordination across operations, customer support, payments, marketing, compliance and technology teams.
- Monitor KPIs, reporting structures and overall business performance.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and scalability.
- Build, mentor and lead high-performing teams.
- Work closely with the Executive Director and management team on strategic initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in a senior operational or leadership role.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of digital business growth.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure within a fast-moving and results-oriented environment.
- Strong understanding of operational management reporting, compliance, and customer experience.
- Experience in online betting, gaming, fintech, digital banking, e-commerce or other high-volume digital consumer platforms will be considered a strong advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- Minimum 8 years experience in senior management or operational leadership roles.
