We are seeking a detail-oriented and committed Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team. The selected candidate will support day-to-day finance operations, ensure accurate record keeping, and assist in maintaining timely financial reporting. This role is ideal for an individual with strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Handle day-to-day accounting functions including ledger accounts, reconciliations and maintaining balance sheet schedules.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely and accurate settlements.
- Assist with tax computations and ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors and cross-functional teams during audit processes.
- Analyze cost structures, providing valuable insights to enhance decision-making.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and optimize accounting procedures.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS
- Final stage in CA, CIMA, ACCA
- At least 4 years of experience in finance field, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical, distribution, FMCG, or trading environment will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Hands-on experience in accounting software / ERP systems will be an added advantage.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
