Electronic Technician

Your prime function will be

The Technician will be responsible for the works closely with the Product and Engineering teams to provide support to testing and repair and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and devices. Analysis and reporting on results is a part of the scope.

You will be responsible for

  • Working with Functional, In Circuit, High Voltage and Other standalone test systems.
  • Repairing and Reworking PCBs according to IPC 7711/7721B and customer instructions.
  • Failure diagnosis of circuit boards using Schematics diagrams and understanding test Software.
  • Working with Micro controllers, Microprocessors, Controlling units, other active and passive components.
  • Handling tools, Equipments and Machines according to the provided instructions.
  • Repair electronics comply with ESD controllers.
  • Rework SMT THT components.
  • Machine breakdown troubleshooting within the minimum time and record accordingly. Calculate MTBF for each line in every week visible to the interest parties.

Qualifications needed for the role

  • Electronics / Electrician trade qualification (Electronic NVQ Level 4) and / or Engineering competencies
  • Proven experience in an Electronics based environment
  • Ability of reading schematics and technical procedures
