EXECUTIVE – LAB & QUALITY ASSURANCE
Location – Teejay Lanka – Avissawella.
The Job
- The selected candidate will lead the Quality Operations function, including color assessment, daily stock monitoring, internal quality reviews, and customer communications, while driving the team towards lean manufacturing and a TQM culture for continuous improvement.
- Assess shade variations to ensure consistency and continuity, proactively identify potential quality issues, and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions and improve overall quality.
- Oversee daily lab operations, ensuring accurate and efficient shade assessments in line with standard protocols; analyze results, identify trends and improvement areas, and provide clear reports to support discussion making of production, development, and management teams.
- Lead the team to achieve color-related accreditations by driving structured processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and aligning efforts to meet certification requirements.
- Collaborate with dyeing and finishing teams to ensure color standards meet customer specifications, provide technical guidance, and drive continuous process improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
The Person
- Should possess a BSc in Textile Engineering or NDT in Textile & Clothing Technology
- Experience in the Textile/Apparel industry and the exposure to Lean and TQM will be added advantages
- Should be IT literate, possess task prioritization and time management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, good inter-personal skills and must be able to deal with multi – disciplinary internal and external teams.
