Executive - Production (Kalutara/Kelaniya)
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth and efficient operation of all production lines to consistently meet production targets and quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with company quality management systems, audit requirements, and standard operating procedures, including IATF 16949 and ISO 2015 standards.
- Monitor and improve machine efficiency and productivity while minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
- Oversee Work-in-Progress (WIP) levels to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
- Update production confirmations and manage goods reservations accurately through SAP systems.
- Prepare and maintain detailed production reports, efficiency metrics, and daily operational records for performance tracking.
- Coordinate Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams.
- Ensure effective workforce allocation and shift management within the assigned division.
- Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, and process optimization projects.
- Demonstrate cost awareness by minimizing material wastage, production scrap, and improving resource utilization.
- Promote and reinforce a culture of behavior-based safety across all operations.
- Handle employee relations matters professionally while fostering and maintaining industrial harmony.
Requirements
- Education: NDT specialized in Polymer Science
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity (Experience in Tyre Industry would be an added advantage)
- Skills:
- Strong computer literacy
- Working knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Other:
- Candidates should be available to work on rostered basis
- Candidates should be below 35 years in age
