Operations Assistant – Card Center - Wattala

We seek a results – oriented dynamic highly motivated individual who is an excellent communicator with the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate must be a qualified, with a can – do attitude and have a sound understanding of the subject matter to make comprehensive informed decision. The ability to contribute the team with the determination to succeed in a challenging environment is an imperative.

Job Profile

  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and MIS reports related to debt, credit card operations
  • Consolidate operational data from multiple systems and ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Distribute reports to internal stakeholders including Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Management teams
  • Generate reports required by card schemes such as Visa and Mastercard
  • Prepare submissions and reports for regulatory bodies in accordance with compliance timelines
  • Monitor report exceptions, discrepancies, and data variances and escalate issues when necessary
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and card scheme regulations
  • Assist with monitoring compliance-related action items and follow-ups

Qualifications, experience & personal traits

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in card operations or MI reporting within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with card schemes, regulatory frameworks, and Excel/MI systems
  • Professional certifications in compliance, risk management, or data analytics are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and standards in card operations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities for compliance and MI challenges.
