Asst. Manager- Production (Plastic Factory)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall plant operations, including manufacturing costs, P&L management, and achievement of production targets.
  • Monitor, control, and continuously improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to drive operational excellence.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels for raw materials and other production requirements.
  • Ensure effective implementation of quality standards, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and compliance procedures to uphold Built-in Quality (BIQ) principles.
  • Lead and promote lean manufacturing initiatives, KAIZEN projects, and operational innovations to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development and Innovation teams to facilitate smooth New Product Introductions (NPIs).
  • Develop and maintain the skill matrix, and oversee training and development programs to ensure the competency of all team members.
  • Provide necessary support to the operations team and ensure efficient management of employees.

Basic Qualification and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in, Polymer Science or Production Management from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles will be a definite advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while meeting required deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with sound knowledge of statistics.
  • Excellent communication skills and computer literacy are essential.
  • A high level of responsibility, adaptability, and commitment to achieving organizational targets.
