Commis II

We are looking for a Commis II to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will support senior chefs in daily food preparation while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food as directed by senior chefs
  • Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards are met
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
  • Properly store food items and assist with stock rotation
  • Support the kitchen team during service hours
  • Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Commis II or Commis III in a hotel or restaurant
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Culinary certificate or training is an advantage
  • Passion for cooking and a willingness to learn and grow
