Commis II
We are looking for a Commis II to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will support senior chefs in daily food preparation while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food as directed by senior chefs
- Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Properly store food items and assist with stock rotation
- Support the kitchen team during service hours
- Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commis II or Commis III in a hotel or restaurant
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Culinary certificate or training is an advantage
- Passion for cooking and a willingness to learn and grow
