Ship Chandelling Executive
We are a well-established private company with over 30 years of excellence in Sri Lanka's maritime industry. We specialise in providing reliable and efficient ship chandelling services to vessels calling at Colombo and other ports across the country. Location: Colombo (with frequent travel to other ports in Sri Lanka).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle full ship chandelling operations for vessels calling at Colombo Port and other Sri Lankan ports
- Coordinate procurement, supply, and delivery of ship stores, provisions, spare parts, and technical supplies
- Liaise with ship agents, captains, chief engineers, and port authorities
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of supplies while maintaining high-quality standards
- Manage documentation, invoicing, and follow-up with clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and vendors
REQUIREMENTS
- Hands-on experience in ship chandelling operations (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of Colombo Port and other Sri Lankan ports procedures
- Young, dynamic, and energetic individual with a strong service-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple vessels simultaneously
- Valid driving license and own transport would be an advantage
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Sinhala/Tamil will be an added advantage
