The Job:
- Support month-end closing activities, including general ledger reconciliations, BAS preparation, tax compliance, and other finance functions.
- Manage the full Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliations, and weekly payment runs.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable activities, including daily bank reconciliations, cash allocation, and maintaining strong debtor relationships.
- Administer and process weekly payroll for a growing workforce of approximately 70 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare financial analysis and reports, while identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline finance-related processes and enhance overall business efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, or part-qualification in CA, CIMA, CMA, AAT, ACCA, or CPA.
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in managing end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for Australian Clients.
- Hands-on payroll processing experience for approximately 70 employees; exposure to FoundU and/or Xero will be highly advantageous.
- Prior experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a meticulous approach to financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with prior experience using accounting platforms such as Xero and Lightyear preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, proactively seek support when needed, and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
