Vacancy for Manager Finance

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall financial strategy and management of the Power SBU, ensuring alignment with Group objectives, shareholder value creation, and long-term business sustainability.
- Oversee the preparation of annual reports, quarterly financial statements, interim accounts, and Board papers, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) listing rules, SEC regulations, and all statutory reporting obligations of a public-listed entity.
- Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring processes, delivering strategic insights for informed Board and management decisions.
- Establish and monitor strong internal controls, risk management frameworks, treasury and cashflow planning, and governance practices, ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.
- Manage project financing, debt restructuring, capital structuring, banking relationships, and cashflow planning, ensuring financial efficiency and sustainability.
- Lead project financing, investment appraisals, feasibility analyses, and capex justification for new power plants, expansions, joint ventures, or acquisitions.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, legal advisors, financial institutions, CSE, and relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and regulatory risk mitigation.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, driving a high-performance culture and continuous improvement through ERP usage, automation, and improved reporting accuracy.
- Support investor relations activities, AGMs, public disclosures, and market communication obligations, ensuring transparency and accuracy of shareholder communication.
- Support the Board Audit Committee, Board Risk Committee, and Senior Management, including preparation of analytical presentations, reports, and recommendations.
- Handle group-level consolidation, intercompany transactions, loan arrangements, and financial controls across subsidiaries and SPVs.
- Lead periodic financial due diligence and valuation analysis for mergers, acquisitions, and new project proposals.
Candidate Profile
- Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
- A Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration will be an added advantage
- Minimum 07 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 03 years in a senior leadership capacity, preferably within a public listed or large-scale organization.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, CSE compliance, corporate governance, and statutory reporting.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, treasury management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
