PROJECT COORDINATOR- (MEP PROJECTS DIVISION)
The Project Coordinator supports the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of MEP construction projects. The role involves coordinating project documentation, procurement tracking, subcontractor communication, scheduling support, site coordination, reporting, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams, consultants, suppliers, and clients.
The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, technical understanding of MEP systems, construction coordination experience, and the ability to manage multiple project activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Role Profile
1. Project Coordination & Administration
- Coordinate daily project activities among engineering, procurement, site execution, QA/QC, and commercial teams.
- Assist Project Managers in planning and execution of MEP construction works.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and milestones.
- Maintain project logs including RFIs, submittals, approvals, inspections, NCRs, and material tracking.
- Organize project meetings, prepare agendas, record MOMs (Minutes of Meetings), and follow up on action items.
- Ensure all project documentation is updated and properly filed.
2. Scheduling & Progress Monitoring
- Assist in preparing and updating project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Track manpower deployment, productivity, and work progress.
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to obtain daily and weekly progress updates.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Identify delays, constraints, and coordination issues and escalate them to the Project Manager.
3. Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with MEP engineers, architects, structural teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Review shop drawing status, material submittals, and approvals.
- Support resolution of technical and site coordination issues.
- Ensure latest approved drawings and revisions are distributed to site teams.
- Coordinate inspections and testing activities with QA/QC and consultants.
4. Procurement & Material Coordination
- Coordinate material requisitions and procurement schedules.
- Track delivery status of MEP materials and equipment.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor inventory and material usage at site.
- Ensure approved materials comply with project specifications and standards.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive project records and document control systems.
- Prepare correspondence, transmittals, submittals, reports, and presentations.
- Ensure all project documents are submitted within contractual timelines.
- Support preparation of client reports and management dashboards.
- Maintain updated project trackers and status reports.
6. Commercial & Contract Support
- Assist in preparation of progress billing documentation.
- Coordinate quantity verification and work completion records.
- Support variation order tracking and claim documentation.
- Coordinate subcontractor documentation and payment records.
7. Health, Safety & Quality Coordination
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and project safety requirements.
- Coordinate safety documentation and permit requirements.
- Support QA/QC inspections and closeout documentation.
- Promote adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
Personal Profile
Required Qualifications:
A Diploma / Equivalent Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management or Civil Engineering
Experience
- 4–5 years of experience in MEP construction project coordination.
