Assistant Manager – Utility

Job Summary:

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and ensuring uninterrupted operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of utility systems across both Alumex manufacturing facilities located in Sapugaskanda and Ekala.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth and efficient operation of all utility systems including compressors, boilers, chillers, ETP and associated utility infrastructure.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and servicing plans to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Monitor utility performance and initiate corrective and improvement actions to enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers for maintenance and breakdown management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Manage utility-related documentation, maintenance records, and performance reporting.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives through effective utility management and resource utilization.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

  • NDT or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum experience in utility operations and maintenance within a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
  • Sound technical knowledge in compressors, boilers, chillers, ETP systems and utility equipment.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple manufacturing locations.
