HEAD OF FINANCE / FINANCE MANAGER

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results-oriented Head of Finance / Finance Manager to lead and oversee the financial operations of our organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, budgeting, compliance, reporting, and strategic decision-making to support the institution's growth and long-term sustainability.
Location: Colombo
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage all finance and accounting functions of the organization.
- Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and comprehensive financial reports.
- Monitor cash flow, revenue, and expenditure to ensure strong financial stability.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements.
- Oversee external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and relevant regulatory authorities.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial policies, controls, and procedures.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor the finance team to achieve department and organizational objectives.
- Conduct advanced financial analysis using dashboards, integrating insights with risk assessment and forecasting models to support strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with all taxation requirements and other statutory obligations of the organization.
- Maintain and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, and negotiate favorable arrangements to support the organization’s financial objectives and competitive advantage.
REQUIREMENTS
- Fully or partly qualified in CA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in finance and accounting, including leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and compliance.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems.
