Process Engineer – (Katana Plant)
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and optimize manufacturing and process plant operations to improve productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and cost savings.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Develop, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to enhance operational performance.
- Conduct process studies, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement projects to increase plant efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Support new product introductions, process modifications, and equipment commissioning activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports on process performance and improvement initiatives.
- Assist in capacity planning and processing validation activities to meet production targets.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree or NDT in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 4 – 7 years of experience in a manufacturing or process industry environment.
- Strong knowledge of process optimization, production systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis tools will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in or around Katana, Negombo, Ja-Ela, Minuwangoda, or nearby areas.
