About the Role
Talent Accounting & Taxation Pty Ltd is an Australian-based accounting and taxation firm seeking a highly self-disciplined and detail-oriented Offshore Finance executive to join our remote team.
This role operates in a structured, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and consistently meet deadlines, reporting requirements, and timesheet obligations. This is a performance-driven position that requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and proactive communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Process supplier bills and customer invoices.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and account coding.
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
- Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS.
- Perform GST, PAYG, superannuation, and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting working papers.
- Meet internal workflow and client deadlines.
- Complete daily timesheets and provide regular progress reports.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Finance & Accounting outsourcing/BPO environment servicing overseas clients.
- Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, GST reconciliations, and prepare financial statements and supporting working papers.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks Online, and MYOB.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, reconciliations, data analysis, and report preparation.
- Experience preparing BAS, IAS, GST reconciliations, and indirect tax reports.
- Practical experience processing payroll and managing superannuation compliance.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a highly structured and deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Daily timesheet completion and structured progress reporting are mandatory requirements of this position.
- A bookkeeping assessment will be required for shortlisted candidates following the interview process.

- Male candidate preferred.
- Resident of Colombo or surrounding areas.
- Previous experience working with an Australian public practice accounting firm.
- Strong written English communication skills.
- Ability to maintain focus and productivity while working remotely.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
- High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
