SENIOR LEAD ENGINEER – NETWORK & INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY

JOB PROFILE
- Security Architecture Strategy: Architect and oversee the evolution of the Bank's LAN/WAN security ecosystem, ensuring infrastructure scales with digital transformation while maintaining a 'Zero Trust' posture.
- Regulatory & Compliance Governance: Act as the lead technical liaison for Central Bank regulators and external auditors, ensuring the network infrastructure meets or exceeds industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
- Innovation & Risk Mitigation: Spearhead research into emerging threat vectors and oversee the rapid implementation of patches, bug fixes, and vulnerability remediations across the enterprise.
- Technical Roadmap: Define the long-term technology stack for security appliances, making high-level decisions on vendor selection and hardware lifecycle management.
- AI/ML Adoption & Intelligent Automation: Drive the adoption of AI/ML technologies within the IT Infrastructure domain to modernize operations, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery through intelligent automation.
- Scalability, Resilience & Future Readiness: Design and maintain a highly scalable, resilient, and adaptable security architecture capable of supporting rapid business growth, evolving digital banking requirements, and emerging network security threats while ensuring high availability and business continuity.
- Operational Excellence: Define, document, and enforce global system standards and SOPs to ensure consistency across all network security installations and maintenance activities.
- Incident Response Leadership: Serve as the final escalation point for complex security incidents, coordinating high-level troubleshooting for Firewalls, WAF, IPS and AAA services.
APPLICANT'S PROFILE
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology or related field (UGC recognized).
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in network security, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity within an enterprise/banking environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortigate, CISCO ASA or Checkpoint), IPS, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Load Balancers (ADC), Proxy Servers, and Authentication/AAA systems.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SASE, SD-WAN, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies, including architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- A good team player with strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, project management and willingness to take-up challenges.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and justify security investments through risk-based reporting.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-pressure situations during outages or breaches.
