Head Chef

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and oversee all culinary operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, staff supervision, inventory management, and ensuring exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction. The Head Chef will maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and efficiency while managing kitchen costs and developing innovative menu offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and develop menus, recipes, and food presentation standards.
  • Inspect food preparation areas and equipment for cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with restaurant management regarding budgets, special events, and customer feedback.
  • Resolve kitchen issues and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and introduce new menu ideas.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Senior Sous Chef.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Budgeting, inventory management, and cost-control skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary degree or professional cooking certification (preferred).

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Standing for extended periods and working in a hot kitchen environment.
  • Managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
