Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Manager – Planning & MIS to lead the Bank’s financial planning and performance management functions. The role involves driving strategic planning, budgeting, and profitability analysis while ensuring effective performance evaluation across the organization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making and delivering financial insights to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the Bank, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support the development and execution of the Bank’s strategic plan in collaboration with business units.
  • Drive financial performance analysis, including variance and cost analysis, to support management decision-making.
  • Conduct financial feasibility evaluations for new products, systems, and initiatives.
  • Oversee the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework to ensure accurate profitability analysis and cost allocation.
  • Manage the KPI evaluation process for branches and senior management, ensuring alignment with strategic targets.
  • Prepare and present monthly MIS reports and dashboards to provide timely business insights.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Full professional qualification in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or ACCA is essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized university will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 6 – 8 years of relevant experience in finance-related roles, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, performance analysis, or MIS reporting within a structured organization is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and high-quality reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
