Overview Of The Role

The Technical Advisor – Body Shop plays a pivotal role in ensuring damaged vehicles are restored efficiently while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Acting as the bridge between customers, insurance companies, and workshop teams, the advisor manages the entire repair journey — from initial inspection to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients, understanding their concerns, and explaining repair processes with clarity.
• Conducting thorough inspections and preparing accurate repair estimates.
• Coordinating with surveyors, handling documentation, and securing timely claim approvals.
• Communicating job requirements, monitoring progress, and ensuring parts availability.
• Inspecting completed repairs to meet manufacturer standards and resolving any rework issues.
• Maintaining accurate records, updating systems, and reporting delays or concerns.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / NVQ 4–5 in Automotive / Mechanical / Automotive Engineering (preferred)
• 1-3 years' experience in a Body Shop or automotive service environment
