About The Opportunity
Lanka Rating Agency (LRA) is searching for a visionary entrepreneur with the drive to build and scale our Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) Credit Rating business into a regional powerhouse. This is not just a management role—it’s a business-building opportunity for a passionate entrepreneur ready to own P&L, drive innovation, and expand our footprint across local and global markets. You'll have the autonomy to shape strategy, forge partnerships, explore new revenue streams, and establish LRA as the trusted credit rating partner for SMEs across Asia.
What You will Drive
- Build & Scale: Design and deploy innovative SME credit rating models (AI-powered, hybrid, or alternative approaches) that solve real problems for underserved entrepreneurs.
- Revenue Growth: Own revenue targets, pricing strategy, and client acquisition—directly tie your efforts to business outcomes.
- Expand Locally & Globally: Identify and capture new markets, forge strategic partnerships (financial institutions, fintech platforms, government bodies), and lead LRA's expansion beyond Sri Lanka.
- Build Your Team: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of analysts and data scientists who share your entrepreneurial spirit.
- Drive Innovation: Stay ahead of market trends, integrate cutting-edge technologies (AI/ML, blockchain), and pioneer new credit assessment methodologies.
- Stakeholder Leadership: Represent LRA confidently with regulators, financial institutions, government agencies, and international partners as the trusted voice on SME credit.
Who You Are
- ESSENTIAL
- 5+ years in credit risk, SME lending, or business development
- Proven track record building/scaling revenue-generating business lines
- Strong understanding of SME finances and credit dynamics
- Experience with credit scoring models or rating systems
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive execution
- Entrepreneurial mindset with bias toward action
- PREFERRED
- MBA or equivalent business education
- CFA, ACCA, or Credit Risk Certification
- Exposure to RegTech or FinTech ecosystems
- Direct P&L ownership experience
- Regional or international business expansion experience
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (CBSL, SEC)
