In partnership with Star Garments, a world-class apparel sourcing, design, and manufacturing company, we’ve opened a new sourcing and development hub in Sri Lanka and we’re looking for authentic self-starters and creative problem solvers to provide expert and seamless execution and customer service.

As a representative for Jockey, you’ll work with our teams in the U.S., Hong Kong, and Germany, and partner with our vendors worldwide.

OBJECTIVE

As Quality Inspector, you will work closely with our Senior Quality Assurance Manager to ensure quality standards are documented, files are maintained, QA schedules updated, etc. You will have a full working knowledge of our PLM / SCM / Andromeda systems; will communicate internally and externally as needed on issues related to Quality & Safety; and will conduct and train QA / contractors on all audits, monitoring data input in our quality portal.

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Ability to communicate internally / externally as needed on issues related to Quality & Safety.
  • Work closely with Senior QA manager to ensure quality standards are followed, maintained, and documented.
  • Attend meetings pertaining to QC team touch base, PP Meeting, WIP, Sourcing, & etc. teams.
  • Ability to work with the vendors and JHKO on ad hoc issues and be able to communicate with the Quality team and contractors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct high level Safety assessment / observation during each factory visit.
  • Independently conduct (including virtual) inline & final finished goods inspections for Workmanship & Packaging.
  • Fully understand, communicate, and conduct the proper method for measuring during inline & final inspections.
  • Maintain QC inspection files & input into contractor portal.
  • Work within systems (D365/Power App/Quality) & train contractors as needed.
  • Attend PP meetings internally & externally as needed.
  • Train vendors on development of Jockey Quality Certification program for QC team inspection as required.
  • Work with all team members (Design, Eng, Sourcing, Packaging, DC, etc.)
  • Conduct factory evaluations for Safety & Quality Processes.
  • Complete expense report.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in intimate and apparel, strong sense in production process & timeliness.
  • Candidate possesses experience in Woven and Knit intimate and Apparel production, in-depth understanding in cut and sewn is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate quality issues and provide problem solve is a must.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment, under minimum supervision.

  • Fluent in speaking, reading, & writing in English

  • Technical sewing is positive
  • Within & Out of Country travel required
