The role is responsible for managing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost control, and revenue management while supporting strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

    n
  • Oversee the overall financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • n
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • n
  • Provide strategic financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business planning, decision-making, and organizational growth.
  • n
  • Develop and maintain effective financial controls, accounting procedures, and reporting systems to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • n
  • Lead revenue assurance, cost control, and inventory management initiatives to enhance profitability and financial performance.
  • n
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and compliance requirements.
  • n
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering collaboration with cross-functional departments to achieve organizational objectives.
  • n
  • Monitor financial performance and prepare management reports, forecasts, and budget variance analyses to support continuous business improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

    n
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, together with a full professional qualification in ACCA, CA Sri Lanka, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
  • n
  • Minimum 5–7 years of proven experience in finance management or a similar leadership role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • n
  • Strong expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, P&L analysis, balance sheet management, accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
  • n
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial insights and support business decision-making through effective financial planning and analysis.
  • n
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
  • n
  • Proficiency in financial systems, ERP platforms, and advanced Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
