Engineer - Project
Location: Katunayake

To meet our vision and support our further growth we are searching for an experienced Engineer – Project for our Katunayake location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage projects between Noratel Sri Lanka (NSL) and Noratel North America (NNA) from RFQ stage through prototype approval and serial production, ensuring on-time delivery and achievement of project milestones.
- Support the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of transformers while ensuring products meet customer, quality, performance, and manufacturability requirements.
- Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, engineering change orders, and ERP records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with document control requirements.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, suppliers, and NNA teams to resolve technical and manufacturing issues, coordinate forecasts, support certifications, and drive Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VAVE) and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Monitor material availability, production schedules, RFQs, prototypes, and supplier performance; negotiate technical requirements, pricing, and lead times to support efficient project execution and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated and strong project management skills and experience.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate technical information and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of ISO, UL systems, and IEC, BS, and IEEE standards is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in CAD software and Python is desirable.
