SENIOR MERCHANDISER - DEVELOPMENT (JK COLOMBO OFFICE)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer expectations through catering their product development requirements (product quality, cost & time) and lead towards commercializing the sample development to ensure customer on-boarding.
- Coordination with customer and collect latest product designs, colour scheme, fabrics, procuring raw materials in right quantity with right quality as per BOM.
- Oversee and preparing costing, costing re-engineering and product information liaise with finance team and IE team in order make operational decisions.
- Follow up, coordinate and negotiate for any concerns in sample production stage in term of technical issues, pricing, quality and sample delivery dates with customer and the relevant departments.
- Negotiate with suppliers in terms of price, quality and delivery date of all raw materials.
- Work with management to ensure all the customer communications, arrange virtual meeting and customer visits preparations within the stipulated time to meet customer expectations.
Ideal candidate should possess,
- Degree or an educational qualification in apparel merchandising, marketing or business management.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in apparel development merchandising.
- Sound knowledge in fabrics, trims, embellishments and costings.
- Candidates with previous exposure to sportswear and activewear will be an added benefit.
- Ability to be self-motivated, able to work with tight deadlines and work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Age below 40 years.
