Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd is a state-owned enterprise under Ministry of Irrigation, the premier engineering organization at the forefront of infrastructure development in the country invites applications from citizens of Sri Lanka for the under mentioned appointments on Contract Basis to fill the vacancies at CESL.
Engineer (MM 1-1)
Qualification & Experience: A BSc Degree in Engineering or in the relevant field (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Structural) recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Sri Lanka & Associate Member of Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL)
No. of Requirements: 25
Quantity Surveyor (MM 1-1)
Any One of the Following (1 or 2 below):
- A BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka and recognised by the Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (IQSSL) admission to the Class of Associate Member.
- AND A minimum of one year post qualifying experience in the relevant field to the Post, after obtaining the first degree.
- Having passed the Intermediate Examination of Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (IQSSL), a minimum of (O) level pass qualifying experience in the relevant field.

Accountant (MM 1-1)
Any One of the Following (1 or 2 below):
- A BSc Degree in Accountancy / Finance / Management / Administration / B.Com recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka.
- A minimum of one year post qualifying experience in the relevant field to the Post, after obtaining the first degree.
- Having passed the Intermediate Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) or Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) (ACCA) and a minimum of one year post qualifying experience in the relevant field.

Legal Officer (MM 1-1)
Bachelor of Law recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka. AND Attorney at Law & a minimum of one year post qualifying experience in the relevant field.

Engineering Assistant (MA 2-3) - Civil / Mechanical / Electrical
Any one of the following qualifications from A to D:
- A National Diploma in Technology (NDT) in the relevant field awarded by any institute recognised by the Sri Lanka Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TEVC).
- B National Diploma in Engineering Science (NDES) awarded by any institute accepted by the Sri Lanka Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
- C Diploma in Technology (Dipl Tech) in the relevant field awarded by any institute accepted by the Sri Lanka Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
- D Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not less than NVQ Level 6 in the relevant field awarded by a Technical / Vocational Training Institute recognised by the TVEC.
No. of Requirements: 10
Quantity Surveyor Assistant (MA 2-3)
Any one of the following qualifications from A to C:
- A. Pass level 1, 2, and 3 examinations conducted by the Institute of Quantity Surveyors-Sri Lanka (IQSSL).
- B. Having passed the Level 1 & 2 examinations conducted by the Institute of Quantity Surveyors-Sri Lanka (IQSSL).
- C. Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not less than National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Level 6 in the relevant field awarded by a Technical / Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).

Technical Assistant (MA 2-1)
Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not less than NVQ Level 5 in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Electrical) awarded by a Technical / Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
No. of Requirements: 05
Secretarial Assistant (MA 1-1)
Having passed the G.C.E. (O/L) examination with Six (6) subjects including Sinhala / Tamil, Mathematics and credit pass for English in not more than two sittings. And achieved Computer literacy in following areas:
- Use of Internet & E-mail
- Basic knowledge of Information Technology
- Basic knowledge of MS Office package
No. of Requirements: 05
Stores Assistant (PL - 1)
Having sat for the G.C.E. (O/L) examination.
No. of Requirements: 02
Age
Age should be not less than 18 and not more than 45 years.
Salary & Other Benefits
Selected applicant will be placed on a suitable salary point depending on qualifications and experience as per the Management Services Circular 01/2025.
- Contribution of 12% and 3% of salary to the Employee’s Provident Fund and Employees Trust Fund respectively by the CESL.
