Operating with offices in Colombo and Vavuniya, RAHAMA focuses on key thematic areas including livelihood and income generation, gender equality, child rights, mental health, and the prevention of human trafficking and alcohol abuse. Their work encompasses a broad range of interventions, such as emergency response, resettlement support, and advocacy campaigns, often driven by strategic planning and community-based projects aimed at strengthening resilience and social welfare.

REQUIREMENTS
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Computer literacy, including MS Office applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Commitment to RAHAMA's values and humanitarian principles
- Valid driving license for a motorbike

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strengthen Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) & Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)
- Work closely with CBOs, CSOs, and grassroots groups to build their capacity, governance, and sustainability for long-term impact
- Community Mobilization & Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate inclusive community mobilization, networking, and partnerships to promote participation and collective action
- Capacity Building & Organizational Development
- Develop strategies, training modules, and capacity-building initiatives to enhance the skills, systems, and effectiveness of partner organizations and vulnerable groups
- Advocacy & Access to Services
- Lead advocacy campaigns to improve access to government services and public service delivery, with a focus on women, children, and marginalized communities.
- Resource Mobilization & Sustainability
- Facilitate resource linkages and support local organizations to develop sustainable models and initiatives beyond project funding.
- MEAL – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning
- Establish and maintain MEAL systems to ensure accountability, learning, and evidence-based decision making.
- Partner & Network Coordination
- Build strong relationships with CBOs, CSOs, government agencies, donors, and other stakeholders for effective collaboration.
- Team Leadership & Supervision
- Provide leadership and guidance to field staff, volunteers, and community facilitators to achieve program goals.
- Risk Management & Conflict Resolution
- Identify risks and challenges, mediate conflicts, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and harmonious working environment.
- Documentation, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure accurate documentation, timely reporting, and compliance with donor and organizational standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in program and field coordination, community mobilization, organizational development, or capacity building within an NGO context
- Proven ability to work with CBOs, CSOs, and grassroots groups to strengthen their capacity and sustainability
- Experience in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and promoting access to government services
- Knowledge of reporting requirements, compliance standards, and donor expectations
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with fluency in English and Tamil; fluency in Sinhala is an added advantage
