DESIGNATION:
ASSISTANT MANAGER – R & D
COMPANY NAME: CBL GLOBAL FOODS LIMITED
LOCATION: ALAWWA
ROLE PROFILE
- Accountable for end to end New Product Development and/or R&D on product & process Improvements.
- Conduct laboratory trials, pilot trials, and scale-up activities for commercial production.
- Evaluate & assess the completeness of new raw material and packaging material for the products.
- Coordinate with external laboratories and institutes for product analysis purposes, products re-engineering tests and any other improvement processes and technical information.
- Maintain good controls of the material suppliers in order to secure confidentiality of products and materials.
- Continuously interact with supply chain for cost effective initiatives.
- Responsible for compliance status of Packaging and labelling requirements of the food regulations of the country and the requirement of the importing country.
- Provide technical information of products to nominated parties when required.
- Conduct and follow-up initial commercial production runs to ensure successful implementation.
- Analyze data and prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations.
- Maintain confidentiality and effective control of supplier-related technical information and materials.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Applied Sciences, Chemical Engineering or similar discipline preferably MSc in Food Technology.
- 4-6 years’ of experience in the Food & Beverage R & D or Product development (2 years in a similar position).
- Strong problem solving, decision making and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in aseptic products, beverage development, dairy alternatives, or coconut-based products will be an added advantage.
- Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, communication and report writing skills.
- Good knowledge of food regulations, packaging, and industrial processing.
