Opportunity

An exceptional opportunity exists for a results-driven professional to join our Kalutara production plant as an Assistant Vice President - Operations to lead and optimize large-scale operations, drive productivity, and ensure seamless execution across multiple functional areas.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to deliver consistent results in a high-demand production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end production operation to consistently achieve production targets.
  • Oversee warehousing, inventory, and material management functions.
  • Drive operational excellence across blending, vat room, bottling, and logistics functions, to ensure timely product availability for distribution.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, quality, safety, and environmental requirements, while maintaining robust internal controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement and business performance initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, reduce operational costs, improve process efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide strong leadership to multidisciplinary teams, fostering a high-performance culture through effective people management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Management or an equivalent Professional Qualification in Management from a recognized University / institute
  • Master of Business Administration Degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 12 years overall experience in manufacturing/production operations, preferably within the beverage manufacturing industry, including at least 05 years in a managerial role providing administrative guidance and supervision
  • Experience in overseeing Warehousing operations, managing of VATs and knowledge in blending / liquor formulation will be an added advantage
