As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement across our production facilities.
Position Summary
The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all manufacturing activities to ensure products are produced efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The successful candidate will play a key role in maximizing productivity, minimizing costs, and maintaining world-class manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production operations to achieve production targets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and utilities.
- Monitor production schedules and coordinate with Procurement, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Stores, and Logistics departments.
- Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, ISO 22000, BRCGS, IFS and other food safety requirements.
- Analyze production performance and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce wastage.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing projects, and cost reduction programs.
- Monitor product quality standards and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Develop and maintain production SOPs, work instructions, and operational controls.
- Manage production budgets and control manufacturing costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and labor regulations.
- Lead, motivate, train, and develop production teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Prepare production reports, KPIs, and management information for senior leadership.
- Coordinate with export and planning teams to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Manufacturing, Food Science, Production Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of total and minimum 3 years' experience in a managerial level in a food manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in managing production teams and factory operations.
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems, quality management standards, and export manufacturing requirements.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and computer literacy skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning software will be an added advantage.
