DESIGNATION : MILLWRIGHT FITTER

ROLE PROFILE
- Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble mechanical assemblies such as gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, blowers and mixers in accordance with OEM specifications and engineering drawings.
- Fit and replace bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, belts, chains and gears, ensuring correct fits, tolerances, alignment and lubrication practices.
- Perform shaft and drive alignment, belt and chain tensioning, and balancing checks on rotating equipment during installation and after overhauls.
- Fabricate, weld and modify machine components, guards, brackets, chutes and structural supports required standards.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose mechanical faults promptly during production and restore equipment to safe operating condition with minimum downtime.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, permit-to-work and safe use of tools and lifting equipment.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Successful completion of a full-time Fitter / Millwright trade course from ATI, NCT, CGTTI or an equivalent recognized institute, with NVQ Level 4 accreditation.
- Minimum of two years’ hands-on experience as a Fitter or Millwright in a highly automated, PLC-based manufacturing environment
- Willingness to work on a shift basis, including weekends and planned shutdowns when required.
- Reading & writing in English will be an added advantage.
