Executive – Microbiology Laboratory
PrimeVet Laboratory Services (Pvt) Ltd (A Subsidiary of Delmo Chicken & Agro (Pvt) Ltd) is a leading veterinary, feed, food, water, environmental, and poultry diagnostic laboratory in Sri Lanka, providing high-quality analytical services to the livestock, poultry, feed manufacturing, food processing, and agricultural sectors.
We are seeking a motivated and competent individual to join our laboratory team as an Executive Microbiology Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological analysis of feed, water, food, environmental, and poultry-related samples.
- Prepare culture media, reagents, and laboratory records.
- Maintain accurate documentation and test reports.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Participate in method validation, verification, and proficiency testing activities.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Support laboratory accreditation and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Special Degree in Microbiology or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of microbiological laboratory techniques.
- Good computer literacy and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Added Advantages:
- Previous work experience in an accredited testing laboratory.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in microbiological testing of feed, food, water, environmental, or veterinary samples.
- Familiarity with laboratory quality assurance, method validation, verification, and internal quality control procedures.
