As a leading engineering and construction company, we are looking for a smart energetic candidate for the following vacancy.
QA / QC ENGINEER ( Embilipitiya Factory )
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 10 years of post-graduation professional experience in civil engineering projects
- At least 3 years of proven experience working specifically as a Quality Control (QC) / Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer
- Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, specifications, and codes of practice
- Experience with inspection, testing, and quality documentation on large-scale projects
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Plan
- Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and contractual requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor workmanship and material quality
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site teams on quality-related issues
- Review and approve material submittals, method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality records
- Identify non-conformities, issue NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
- Supervise and verify laboratory and field testing of construction materials
- Prepare quality reports and submit them to project management and clients
- Provide guidance and training to site staff on quality procedures and best practice
