We are Hiring Engineering Assistant /Supervisor - Civil (Factory Operations)

We are the first company in Sri Lanka to manufacture eco-friendly fiber cement products and related accessories using 100% environment-friendly raw materials. ELTORO has set up its fully automated, 24x7 running, state-of-the-art production facility in Chilaw. We are looking for an exceptional, dynamic & energetic individual to join our team, to take over responsibilities as a HOD - Civil - Engineering Assistant /Supervisor Civil (Factory Operations).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all civil maintenance and construction tasks within the factory, including infrastructure repairs & renovations, new installations, and housekeeping.
- Plan and oversee the deployment and daily operations of the civil work team, ensuring efficient utilization of labor, materials, and equipment, while managing resource allocation, including manpower scheduling and material procurement, to ensure smooth and timely project execution.
- Coordinate with civil contractors, suppliers, and internal departments to meet civil project requirements and deadlines.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality checks of ongoing work to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the factory.
- Provide technical guidance to the team and resolve on-site issues or challenges efficiently. Ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
- Assist in project planning, prepare & review BOQ and cost estimations, shop floor diagrams, methods statements for factory related civil works. Support tender preparation and quantity calculations.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, labor hours, and completed tasks for reporting purposes.
- Successfully Lead & Execute Special projects like Adon & Sustainable Brick manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma / HNDE/NCT in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in similar environment
- Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, and technical documentation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
